Issue 459 lies in front of you with lots of exciting news in all
the usual sections. Absent this month is the Triptease, but we
will have that again for you next month, and you also have
to do without the Propliners. In addition to the Movements
Netherlands we have the second quarterly overview of Para-
maribo for you.
This month two articles, or actually extended Showreports.
The Salon International de l’Aéronautique et de l’Espace, or
Paris Air Show in plain English, was held in June and we have
pretty much all the exhibitors and visitors for the duration of
the event. Likewise for the Royal International Air Tattoo, or
RIAT for short, held in July at RAF Fairford. Again we have all
the movements (static, flying and visitors, also from nearby
Brize Norton) from one of the biggest air shows in the world.
Our current vacancies are still for a new editor for SIS, or
Scramble Intelligence Service and the Showdates. If you are
interested in any of these then we look forward to hear from
New this month is Sander Wittenaar, who has taken over the
USAF database updates from Dennis Peteri. Dennis spent the
last couple of years working very hard on initially all USAF
news and updates, but then as work got in the way he first
decided to split the news and database updates, keeping the
updates for himself. But even that was too much and in the
end he sadly had to call time on his Scramble career. We like
to thank him for all his hard work over the past years!
We still have copies left of our new publications: Scramble
World Airline Fleets 2017, Scramble Military Serials Europe
2017, and Scramble Military Serials North America 2017-
2018. Stock is running out fast so head over to our Shop-page
late! Another new publication is BARG DVD3, containing the
timeframe 1989-1994, and we have a limited supply left.
