the moment we don’t know when the aircraft was damaged

and if it is the 252 or the 254 which will return to Romania.

Nigeria

Nigerian Air Force (AF)

On the 14th of July the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has taken

delivery of five new MFI395 Super Mushshak trainer aircraft

from Pakistan. At the moment Nigeria has four aircraft (the

260, 392, 394 and 395) on temporary loan. The new aircraft

will be based at Kaduna Air Force Base and operating with

401 FTS. The other five ordered aircraft are expected on a

later stage.

A photo of this Dauphin was found on the internet. It is pos-

sible that this is former 5N-BAF, c/n 6430 , which was owned

by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC)

and was operated on NNPC’s behalf by Aero Contractors of

Nigeria (ACN). ACN was part of Schreiner Aviation. The three

EC135s which are operated since April last year by the Nige-

rian Air Force, were also taken over from the NNPC.

been overhauled at Woensdrecht. It arrived here on 30 Sep-

tember 2016.

After little more than one-and-a-half year of operating the

type, the Bengali lost their first Yak-130.

China

As reported earlier the Chinese military (Army and Air Force)

is in the midst of a major reorganization that started early

2016 when seven Military Regions were reorganized into five

Theatre Commands.

The next step was that ever more Regiments turning into Bri-

gades with a slight increase of aircraft per unit, but with less

units. After the first round with the air force where four Bri-

gades were assigned to known “Bases”, now new Regiments

turn into Brigade, however with no information yet where

they are subordinated to.

A more recent addition to the rotory fleet of the Zambia Air Force is AF1103, a Mi-171E in a nice three-tone camo scheme. It was first noted in
