Homer Flies

Airliner World contributor Marco Rossi
spotted this unusual example of ‘nose
art’ or more accurately ‘undercarriage art’
recently at Turin/Caselle Airport in Italy.
An illustration of Homer Jay Simpson, the

famous fictional character from animated
sitcom The Simpsons appears on the
starboard main undercarriage door of this
TUI Airways Boeing 757-2G5, G-OOBP.
The aircraft was inbound on a ski charter

from Manchester on January 20. It would
appear the impromptu picture was drawn
in the dirty surface of the door panel; the
author is unknown...
