Charter flights are normally
booked directly with the operator,
with Federal Airlines the booking will
be done with the charter division,
Bateleur, whereas shuttle flights need
to be booked through either a tour
operator, travel agency or with
the lodge itself.

challenges. Unprepared, gravel strips
that are often short and at times very
popular with certain wildlife, are not
suitable for many aircraft, hence the
popularity that Cessna Caravan and
Mustang, Pilatus PC-12, and King
Air 200 enjoy with those operators
flying into game reserves as not
many have the licensed, tarred strips
required for the Beechcraft 1900,
Learjet and Embraer amongst others.
