THE NEW ENGINE
PW812D engines belong to the same
family that equips new commercial jets
such as A320neo, Embraer E-Jet E2 and
Bombardier CSeries
The new 6X will be driven by PW812D
engines, with 13,000/14,000 lbf push
each. These engines use geared turbofan
technology and they are part of Pure
Power series, the family that equips Airbus,
A320neo, Embraer E-Jet E2 and Bombardier
CSeries models. Moreover, the PW812D
has a fan built in one piece, which reduces
maintenance costs and provides better
aerodynamic efficiency. With cruiser speed
of Mach 0.8, the range of the Falcon 6X will
be 5,500 nm, which allows to fly non-stop
between Sao Paulo and Los Angeles, or Sao
Paulo and Vienna. Flying at Mach 0,85 it is
possible to go from Los Angeles to Peking.
