In terms of results from the testing, the corrected full power for the K-
120G2 was measured at 11.76Kg at 142,000rpm, a fraction below the
nominal 12.0Kg claimed, an excellent performance for this compact
and lightweight engine. Fuel consumption was almost exactly as clai-
med, being measured at 394 grams (492cc) per minute, just fractio-
nally above the nominal 385 grams.
As I have become used to with recent KingTech turbines, the accele-
ration and deceleration figures were impressive, being measured at
around 4 seconds from idle to full throttle and around 4.5 seconds
from full power back down to idle. As expected, the throttle response
once above a high idle is virtually instantaneous, almost keeping up
with the (rapid) movements of the throttle stick.
It should not be forgotten that every KingTech turbine comes with a
lifetime warranty, although as would be expected there are conditions
applied covering servicing, consumables and misuse, whilst the war-
ranty can also be transferred to a later owner, with no charge during
the first year of ownership, just illustrating the confidence Kingtech
have in their engines.
Once again the K-120G2 is yet another very impressive engine from
KingTech, and one that is sure to be deservedly popular in a catego-
ry where there are a very wide range of suitable models. It will make
an ideal replacement for an older and heavier engine in an existing
airframe, possibly allowing significant balancing noseweight to be
removed, and giving the pilot a much easier life due to its super quick
throttle response.

On the test stand and ready to run, the K-120G2 proved to have an excellent performance.
