honest. While he believes the passen-
gers prefer the Airbus cabin, he said the
Boeing’s operating economics, adapt-
ability as well as the type’s availability
on the leasing market [at the time] were
major drivers in the decision.
Despite its relatively small size, Go2Sky
has developed a strong reputation for
the service its provides to third party
airlines. Its customer list boasts some
very recognisable names including
Norwegian, Czech Airlines, Travel
Service and, up until their demise,
airberlin and Niki. “It is a shame that
both airberlin and Niki have now gone,
they were good customers of ours,” the
CEO remarked. “But all is not lost, as we
are already speaking to Niki’s successor
Laudamotion regarding future
opportunities.
“Last year [2017] was the busiest we
have had to date. We also expanded

destination - I am in charge after all,”
he quipped.

IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA)
certificate in 2015, for which it is justifi-
ably proud. “We currently have four air-
craft, consisting of two 737-400s and a
pair of -800s. This is a good balance for
us and the customers we serve, all four

jets are flown under long-term leases."
Meanwhile, a fifth example, another
-800, is currently under negotiation,
and it is hoped that it will join the fleet
in June to boost capacity during the
peak summer season.
Asked why Go2Sky had decided to fly
with 737s rather than the rival Airbus
A320 family, Ferjancek was brutally

In 2017 Go2Sky expanded
its horizons by entering
the South American
market through an ACMI
contract with Haiti-based
Sunrise Airways.
