motor, the EF-1, rated at 1300KV, fi tted
with a commercially available APC 9x6
CW (Clock Wise) rotating propeller – the
unorthodox clockwise rotation is helpful
in carrier fl ying when doing the slow
speed run, as the opposite rotation of

the model to the prop helps to keep
the control wires taut. Motor power is
supplied from a Turnigy nano tech four
cell LiPo rated at 2250mA; maximum
power drawn during tests was in the
order of 50 amps. Flying tests have

shown the Zero is very fast and performs
very well, but we ran out of time to
compete in the 2017 competitions due to
many other commitments; you can only
fl y so many models! We look forward to
entering this model in 2018 competitions.

Wing ready for covering with 1/16 sheet outline
template of fuselage shown at bottom and
central balsa keel shown above.

First fi t to see what she looks like. Fuselages, note I was building two models at the
same time. Sheeting takes so long with all these
pins! Some of the central keel has been removed
for the cockpit area.

Ready for test fl ight.
