FOREWORD
AIRSOFT INTERNATIONAL VOLUME 14 ISSUE 2
ebcon
publishing ltd.
I would like to think that as magazine publishers we
are in the communication business. Our magazine
certainly gets the message across; you just have to
look at the unrivalled popularity of the magazine to
see this.
However communication on a skirmish field is
a completely different story. Recently we ran yet
another successful instalment of the Ai500 here in
the UK (turn to page 50 for our full game report).
I say that we had a successful event, but it
sometimes felt like the management team was
talking in Martian or a number of players had
suddenly become deaf.
One of the most important parts of any Airsoft
Game is the briefing. Without this how does a player
know what’s expected of him or her and more
importantly the rules that we expect each and every
one to adhere to. This issue isn’t exclusively ours,
but the challenge is how to overcome it for everyone.
That I don’t have an answer to, but one thing that we
as a game organisers will implement in the future
is every player signing a copy of the rules and by
doing so confirms that they understand fully what is
required of them and will abide by the rules set.
Well on to this issue and you’ll see it’s crammed
to overflowing with Airsoft goodness... As summer
is coming we go all High Speed low drag and look
at ways of keeping your kit to a minimum, but still
having the right tools to get the job done. Part 5 of
our epic plate carrier round up is in full force, with
some great bargains to be had from a number of
different manufactures. I’ve already mentioned
that there is a big Ai500 after action report, but we
have reported on this slightly differently and let the
players and team Commanders have their say.
We have three great blaster reviews. One of which
is a Salient Arms.
EMG GBB GAS/CO2 DualFuel 2011 DS Training pistol;
this I can tell you had us all drooling over in the office
and can be thanked for by our new pistol section
sponsor and advertiser Zero One Airsoft. Also
reviewed is Tokyo Marui’s M3 Super 90 shot gun and
a great entry CYMA M4 with an amazing build quality
and price to match.
Richie is also here helping the larger Airsofter
amongst us find great value gear that fits.
Kit wise we jump back in to the GULF and gear up
with the PJ’s, we also have a roundup of Assault Back
Panels and drop-down pouches. Add that to all of
your favourite sections and contributors and you’ve
got one hell of a ride.
Stay safe play fair
