52 The London Bus

Modernising London’s buses

RIGHT: The
windows on this
Scania OmniCity
have been masked
up ready for
repainting in
the livery of the
operator that
has bought it for
service outside
London. The
centre door has
already been
removed.

BELOW: Looking good as new, this six-year-old Alexander Dennis Enviro200 is one of several that RATP
Group’s Yellow Buses subsidiary in Bournemouth bought after they came out of London service with Tower
Transit. They have been refurbished, converted to one-door layout and repainted in the new owner’s colours.
