A failure to operate the service
correctly saw it replaced on
22 February 1989 by a variety of
orange buses both old and new
with Borehamwood-based BTS.
It in turn was later taken over bySovereign and the route turned
blue and cream with brand new
Volvo Olympians.
Route 79 (Edgware-Alperton)
got buses of another bright
colour from 21 November 1987
when the yellow ones of Southall-based London Buslines took over.
These were a mix of secondhand
Leyland Fleetlines and then new
Leyland Olympians.
The 107 (Edgware-New Barnet)
was awarded to Pan Atlas based
in Harlesden, which traded asSuburban London
