enigmatic Prowler. Instead of operating
a dedicated EW platform, the service
will be employing an organic and
distributed electronic warfare ‘system of
systems’, which will see the Marine Corps
transition from utilizing the Prowler
to a distributed strategy where every
platform contributes and functions as
a sensor, shooter and sharer, including
EW. Under Marine Air-Ground Task Force
— Electronic Warfare (MAGTF-EW) the
Marine Corps is leveraging emerging
technologies and integrating multiple
aviation platforms (unmanned,  xed-
wing, and rotary-wing assets), payloads,
ground-based EW nodes, and cyber
capabilities to provide commanders
with an organic and persistent EW
capability for every MAGTF, according to
o cial statements on the transition.
Lt Col Rundle says: ‘The Marine
Corps has been conducting transition
conversions for those who want to  y
another platform and leadership is
looking at our population to  ll needs
