approval too, and it was only when Vador
was happy with the overall look of his aircraft
that the team submitted the design for senior
o cer approval.
Belgian national markings and horizontal
tail tips are the only splashes of colour in
the design, which mean they stand out
more than normal. Currently both tail plane
tips carry a stylised Belgian fl ag, but for
displays outside of Belgium the port tip will
be changed to the fl ag of the host nation,
a total of 10 di erent fl ags over the course
of the 2018 display season. This theme
emphasises international cooperation
between Belgium and other countries in
Europe. As the scheme will remain applied
to the aircraft for three display seasons,
there will be changes to the scheme in the
following years to refl ect di erent themes
that the display team want to highlight.
