Emirates airline is extending its code-
share agreement with New York-based
JetBlue to connect Dubai with Costa
Rica, said an Emirates spokesperson.
In a statement to Arabian Business,
the spokesperson confi rmed that the ex-
panded codeshare agreement between the
two airlines will include the Costa Rican
capital of San Jose and Liberia, the capi-
tal of the country’s Guanacaste province.
The codeshare fl ights became avail-
able on 17 September.
“This will provide our customers
more fl exibility and seamless connec-

tions to Costa Rica via Fort Lauderdale,
Orlando, New York JFK and Boston,”
the spokesperson said.
“Emirates passengers can now ac-
cess over 150 codeshare routes across the
United States, Caribbean and Mexico
via its 12 US gateways.”

LuxairTours, a European tour operator,
recently selected the emirates of Ras Al
Khaimah as its latest fl ight destination, ac-
cording to the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism
Development Authority (RAKTDA).
Starting from the 24 October 2018,
LuxairTours will operate a fl ight every
Wednesday that will arrive directly at
RAK airport. The announcement was
made during a recent European roadshow
headed up by Ras Al Khaimah Tourism
Development Authority in Luxembourg.
The authority delivered an overview of the
Emirate and its various attractions.

tion of 1 million visitors by the end of the
year, we’re very pleased to see an ongoing
growth of strategic partnerships with key
players in the aviation and travel industry

LuxairTours has inked agreements with a
number of luxury hotels in Ras Al Khaim-
ah that enable the tour operator to offer
prospective tourists attractive packages.

Costa Rica and the UAE established
embassies in San Jose and Abu Dhabi in
2017 and 2018, respectively, and citizens
of both countries do not require a visa to
travel between both countries.
