AFC joins forces
with Emirates
Holidays

The Asian Football Confederation
(AFC) has selected Emirates Holidays
to become its official tour operator
for the upcoming AFC Asian Cup UAE


  1. Set to take place between the 5
    January and 1 February 2019, the 17th
    edition of the famed regional foot-
    ball tournament will be held in the
    UAE. As per the agreement, the tour
    operator will help to compile attrac-
    tive travel packages for football fans
    travelling to Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Dubai
    and Sharjah to support their teams.
    It is reported that each package will
    consist of match tickets, accom-
    modation as well as return flights
    through Emirates Airline.


Abu Dhabi Airports’ Flight of the Children
Abu Dhabi Airports recently launched its Flight of the Children of Zayed initiative.
As part of the launch, Abu Dhabi Airports, in close collaboration with Emirates
Red Cresent, facilitated a trip for 31 orphans to Sir Bani Yas Island. Once on the is-
land, the group of orphans participated in a number of recreational activities.

Latvian airline airBaltic, in cooperation with
Etihad Airways, has announced an exten-
sion to the operating season of fl ights be-
tween Riga and Abu Dhabi in 2019. The four
weekly fl ights will restart on October 28 and
continue until April 29, 2019, the airline said
in a statement.
“When we launched fl ights to Abu Dhabi
last year, it instantly became one of the
most demanded routes during the winter
season,” said Wolfgang Reuss, SVP Network
Management of airBaltic.
“As more of the Airbus A220-300 aircraft
are joining our fl eet, we are now extending
the operating season of these fl ights by ad-
ditional two months in 2019.”
The fl ight takes 6 hours and 15 minutes and
one-way ticket prices start at EUR129 ($149),
including airport fees and transaction costs.
