DELIVERIES CONTINUE
RUSSIA’S DEFENSE MINISTRY
has announced more deliveries
of modernized Ka-27M and
Ka-29 helicopters to the Russian
Navy. A statement on January

22 said Ka-27Ms and Ka-29s had
been redelivered to two naval
air bases of the Paci c Fleet
stationed in the Primorsky Krai and
Kamchatka regions.

The two Ka-29s and one Ka-27M
had undergone scheduled
intermediate overhaul and
upgrade at the Kumertau Aviation
Production Enterprise plant in
Bashkortostan before being
delivered by Il-76 transport to their
bases for reassembly. Deliveries
to the Paci c Fleet will continue
this year.

Two more Ka-27Ms have also
been transferred to the Baltic
Fleet, according to a defense
ministry statement on January 14.
The pair also underwent upgrade
at Kumertau. Delivery of a rst
Ka-27M to an unnamed Baltic Fleet
base — probably Donskoye — was
announced three days earlier,
before it was joined by a second.
