on selected ights to
Bangkok and Kuala
Lumpur for crew training,
with Osaka and Perth
the rst scheduled
destinations to be served
by the aircraft in May this
year. Bali starts on July 2.
SIA signed a rm order
with Boeing on October
24 last year for 20 777-9s- plus another 19 787-10s
- for additional growth
and eet modernisation
through the next decade.
Six options were also
placed for each type.
On December 13 the airline took on
the rst of ve new Airbus A380s during
a handover ceremony at the European
manufacturer’s Toulouse facility, when the
airline’s CEO Goh Choon Phong said: “The
delivery of our newest A380 with all-new
cabin products is indeed an exciting occasion.“When we put the world’s rst A
into commercial service in 2007, it set new
industry benchmarks for premium full-service
air travel. A decade later, the Singapore
Airlines A380, featuring our agship products
and legendary service,
remains a customer
favourite, and we continue
to receive highly positive
feedback about the travel
experience on the aircraft.”
The ve new A
super jumbos are

original ve, and will
be delivered with the
latest onboard product
installed, after which
Singapore’s remaining 14
