THE FIRST two H225
helicopters for the Kuwait
Police have been delivered.
The pair are among the four
Airbus Helicopters types
ordered for the service,
and follow two AS365N3+
aircraft that were delivered
previously (see Kuwait
Police Dauphin IIs on
delivery, February, p24).
The two H225 deliveries
comprise KMOI-05 (c/n
3012) with a VVIP interior
and KMOI-08 (c/n 3014) in
search and rescue (SAR)

configuration. Both will
serve with the Kuwait
Police Rotary Wing at
Kuwait City Heliport. The
first group of Kuwaiti
H225 aircrews has
reportedly also completed
training in France.
The deal for the Kuwait
Police H225s is separate
to the $1.1bn contract for
30 militarised H225Ms
that was signed by
Airbus Helicopters and
the Kuwaiti government
in August 2016.
