CONCLUSION
The kit was a fun build. It is not an
Eduard or Tamiya kit and more
like a limited-run affair, but that
doesn’t mean it was a difficult build.
In fact, it wasn’t hard at all and I
will definitely build another one.
The unique look of these early
Jumo-engined aircraft will add to
any 109 collection and I can see a B
and D model in my future since I do
not have either one of them. The fit
of the major parts was very good,
and although some parts require
filling there is nothing that is beyond
the ability of most modellers.
The instructions could have
been better but a good reference
was all that was needed to address
that. The most problematic area
of the kit is the fit of the landing
gear, but if you take your time
and clean up the area properly
you will have a winning model.
I was really happy to add the Dora
Wings 109A to my collection and it
stands up well next to the Eduard
and Tamiya kits already on the shelf.
Highly recommended
and thanks to the editor for
entrusting me with this kit and
Dora wings for supplying it.
