(Martin Jones) #1
the diorama scene envisaged.
This was in truth, perhaps, to
save me applying decals to the
noticeably corrugated surfaces!
As a inal touch, I replaced
the pilot’s frame behind the
cockpit with a metal strip and
the reinforcing strut with some
stif metal wire. These were
left unpainted and hopefully
add to the overall metal look.
Taking stock, I couldn’t believe

how quickly the build had come
together – what with the simple
paint scheme, no decals, no struts,
and no rigging (ok, there are
two short bracing wires on the
undercarriage), it was turning
out to be a breeze of a build.
So putting the Junkers in a
box under my workbench for the
time being, it was time to move
into the unknown territory of
building up a (hopefully) realistic
diorama. But more of that for the
next issue. I hope you’ve enjoyed
the build so far. Look in next
month to see how she turns out!
