e met up with Dead

Design Models at Eday

2017, so it was really

good to see them again this

year and receive some of their

latest releases for review here.

In the last year the company

has expanded their range to

include vacu-form canopies

(with masks), resin accessories

as well as more mask sets.

All items released to date are

for Japanese aircraft. The masks

are precision cut from yellow

tape and as their slogan states

they are freshly cut for a sharper

closer it! This month we will take

a look at some of the 1/72 scale

sets they have released for the

1/72 scale Tamiya Ki-61ID Hien.

CONCLUSION

These new masks, resin upgrades

and vacu-form canopies will

be very welcome additions to

your Tamiya Tony. I for one find

masking canopies very tricky,

so all help is gratefully received

as getting nice sharp lines on

the canopy really enhance the

look of the finished model!

his month SAC have

only require minimal clean up

CONCLUSION

The 1/32 scale set will be very

welcome as most biplanes have

very skeletal and long struts

so the added strength of white

metal will be very welcome.
