Begemot

I

got a real sense of Déjà vu
this month as the latest sheet
from Begemot is a scaled
down version of last month’s
masterwork for the Sukhoi Su-34
Fullback/ Hellduck. The four
decal sheets supply all the various
camoulage schemes seen on
the type over the last 20 years,
including examples seen in action
over Syria. Painting and location
of the decals and individual
aircraft details are covered on the
comprehensive instructions, as
well as a whole page devoted to the
placement of the 200+ stencils.

CONCLUSION
Though I doubt many modellers
would go to the time and expense
of building 28 Fullbacks. At least in
1/72 scale it is a far more manageable
project than in 1/48. Especially
with the readily available and
inexpensive Italeri Su-34 Fullback.
In the UK, the range is available
from Hannants. I thank Begemot for
supplying us with the review sample.

JBR Decals

T

his Czech manufacturer
gave us a sample of their
latest sheet during the
E-Day show in September. This
new sheet supplies markings
for a 1/72 scale F/A-18B of the
famous Nav y Weapons Fighter
School or as most will know it
“Topgun”. This two-seat legacy
bug is inished in an overall gloss
black scheme with Topgun titles
on the fuselage lanks and a
larger version on the centreline
fuel tank. A little colour is added
to this black and white scheme

by the full colour Topgun
badge at the top of the tailin.

CONCLUSION
A small sheet that supplies all you
need for this attractive scheme
with a clear placement diagram
to show you where all the decals
go. This range is now stocked
by Hannants in the UK and this
now includes their kit range. Our
thanks to Jiri Brozek for supplying
us with the review sample.
