G-Factor

A

t the US Nationals
American manufacturer
G-Factor supplied us with
some samples of the metal legs
which we have been featuring
over the last few issues. This
month we have the final sets both
of which are for recent release.
The first is designed for Airfix
B-25 Mitchell in 1/72 scale while
the second supplies the legs
and retraction struts for Zoukei
Mura’s F-4 Phantom family.
As always, this range is made
from brass which is really hard and
rigid and holds detail extremely
well. The only clean up required is
to remove the casting stub from
the top of the leg before applying
a coat of primer followed by final
painting with your favourite paint
brand followed by a light wash
to lift out all that lovely detail.

BarracudaCast

T

his month from
BarracudaCast
we have two new
wheel sets for Revell’s
1/32 scale P-51 Mustang.
Both sets have a nicely
detailed tyres with a
slightly weighed affect
and you can choose
between a diamond
tread or block tread. The
outer hub as a separate
part and needs a small
amount of work with a
scalpel to open up the
gaps between the spokes.
This is fully illustrated
on the small instruction
leaflet but is very simple
and quick to do.

already a really nice kit. The
full BarracudaCast range can
be seen and purchased from

We thank Roy Sutherland of

us with the review samples.

Eduard Löök

W

e have now received
the second batch of
1/32 scale instrument
panels in the Eduard Löök line.
The Spitfire and P-51 panels are
cast in black resin, the Fw 190
panel is moulded in a dark grey
to match the Luftwaffe cockpit
colour RLM 66. As well as the
instrument panels the sets include
a set of Eduard Steel seatbelts. The
instrument dials are glazed and
the parts are a direct replacement
for the kit parts, making these
sets a very simple drop in upgrade.

1/32 SCALE
634 004 P-51D (for Tamiya kit)
634 005 Spitfire Mk.IX early (for Tamiya
kit)
634 007 Fw 190A-5 (for Hasegawa kit)

For 1/32 scale these instrument

panels offer a more 3-dimensional
option than a colour photo-etched
panel and I am sure as more products
are added to the line this range will
become very popular offering as
it does, an easy to use upgrade to

your cockpit, with the added bonus
of a set of seatbelts. You may if you
wish add a wash and flat varnish
to the panels to tone them down a
little, if you do you can always add
another drop of gloss to the dials.

My thanks to Eduard for
supplying these samples for
review http://www.eduard.com.
