for the nose assembly and
brass rod for the landing gears.
These are not necessary but do
make the model sturdier.
The tip tanks fit well but need
to be sanded smooth to obtain a
clean fit to the wings. I also added
brass rods for the horizontal
stabilizers to create a more secure
fit than the butt cement join.

PAINT AND DECALS
Once the airframe was sanded
smooth and all seams attended to,
it was primed with Tamiya Fine
Gray Primer. This produced a nice
surface for the Alclad natural metal
paint. I sanded the whole airframe
with 1200 wet and dry sandpaper,
then sprayed the airframe in Alclad
ALC101 Aluminium. I then did
