ALC119 Airframe Aluminium

to get a realistic metallic finish

(Alclad is an outstanding paint and

produces a very durable finish).

Once the Alclad was fully dry

I accented the panel lines with

Flory Weathering Washes Dark

Dirt. This wash is a water-based

clay that is very easy to use and

can be used over both acrylic and

enamel/lacquer-based paints.

I chose the kit decals for the

45th Tactical Reconnaissance

Squadron from Kimpo, 1952. The

decals are by Techmod and go on

flawlessly, but they do not include

decals for the wing walkways.

These will have to be either

painted on or wing walk decals

sourced from somewhere else.

CONCLUSION

Overall this was an enjoyable build

and a lovely addition to my early-jet

collection. I highly recommend it to

anyone interested in this subject, as it

fills a major gap for a reconnaissance

aircraft collection in 1/72.
