A view of the air terminal ramp at Hickam, looking southeast where the present day Honolulu
International Airport is sited. A Lockheed C-121 Constellation and a Douglas C-54 Skymaster of
the Pacifi c Division of the Military Air Transport Service can be seen. Just visible in the centre

The shadow of a vehicle in front of a North American T-6 Texan and a seemingly unmarked
Republic P-47D Thunderbolt outside the Hickam hangar line may provide a clue to the untraced
photographer – perhaps an enthusiast hitching a ride in a security car.
