The Aviation Heritage Museum in Bull
Creek, Western Australia is restoring a
former USAF General Dynamics F-111F
procedure trainer and a World War
Two-era Link Trainer.
The F-111 unit was bought in the US
by museum volunteer Geoff Brueder
who had it shipped to the museum
in 2012. It is being converted into a
fl ight simulator, and will feature a

large video screen at the front of the
‘cockpit’. Its exterior will be fi nished
in Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF)

The Link Trainer is undergoing a
gradual overhaul and will eventually
be fi tted out to resemble a unit used to
teach RAAF pilots during the war.
