en-year-old Mia (Daniah De
Villiers) has her life turned
upside-down when her family
of four move from London to Africa to
manage a lion farm. Her parents Alice
(Mélanie Laurent) and John (Langley
Kirkwood) don’t know what to do with
their unhappy daughter so pair her
with an unusual pet. Soon a rare white
lion cub called Charlie finds his way
into her heart. But Charlie grows into
an adult lion and when Mia’s father
decides to sell him, she escapes with
her four-legged friend to protect him.
Directed by French filmmaker Gilles
de Maistre, the cinematography by
Brendan Barne is what makes this
