HUMOUR ON THE JOB

How To Interview For A Job

THE RIGHT WAY:Devin Washington
was in a New Orleans fast food
restaurant interviewing for a job when
a customer snatched the money out
of the cash register and ran for the
door. Washington leapt up from his
chair and grabbed the thief, holding
him until the police arrived. That was
when the manager told Washington
the obvious: “You’re hired.” AP

THE WRONG WAY:A 24-year-old
man in Japan sat for a job interview

with the president of an elevator-
maintenance company. At one point,
the president left his office. Upon his
return, they chatted a bit longer, and
then the prospective employee left.
Later, the boss noticed that his
wallet was missing, along with the
$450 in it. He had an idea who had
taken it and just how the police
could find him. The man had left his
résumé, which contained his phone
number and address. The thief was
soon arrested. And, no, he did not
get the job. japantimes.co.jp
