host Grant Denyer
didn’t appear to be
his usual upbeat self
when he made an appearance
at a Western Sydney drinking
hole last week.
Looking pale, tired and
red-eyed, Grant, 41, seemed
run down as he made his way
into Rouse Hill’s The Fiddler
pub for 2DayFM’s Westie
Wednesday.
Despite his attempts to show
enthusiasm for the event,
onlookers couldn’t help but
notice Grant appeared bleary-
eyed and exhausted.

The father-of-two fronted
up to the event with his wife
Chezzi, 39, and caught up with
former Married At First Sight
bad boy Ryan Gallagher inside.
The outing comes a year
after Grant opened up about
hitting rock bottom following
a battle with depression
and a crippling addiction to
prescription medication.
His issues stemmed from
a horrific monster truck
accident in 2008, which saw
Grant break his back and land
in intensive care for four
months. “It was a time I didn’t
really give a sh*t whether
I lived or died,” he confessed
last year. “I felt like I had
nothing to live for.”
Grant later admitted his
pain medication was so
strong, he was “doped up
and half the time I
thought I was a horse”.
In 2014, the popular
TV presenter and his
wife checked into
The Cabin Chiang
Mai in Thailand,
where they were
treated for work
exhaustion, burnout,
anxiety and PTSD.

bad boy Ryan.

The Gold Logie
winner was
joined by his
wife Chezzi.
