THE TANK MUSEUM
Considered to be the world’s best collection of
tanks, an appropriate aircraft – a section of the
tank-carrying Hamilcar I glider – is featured in the
exhibitions at Bovington.

AVIATION MUSEUM
The old control tower of the World War Two
airfield at RAF Dumfries is this volunteer-run
museum’s centrepiece. Restoration of Spitfire
P7540 was completed in the summer of 2017 – a
huge achievement – while the Assault Glider
Trust’s Waco Hadrian is joining the collection.
