KENT BATTLE OF BRITAIN
MUSEUM
Situated on a former Battle of Britain fighter
station, static film replicas of major combat
types from 1940 provide a centrepiece of this
collection, along with many relics of the Battle.
The Bolingbroke/Blenheim project just received,
including parts from four Bolingbrokes, makes for
a splendid addition.

LASHENDEN AIR WARFARE
MUSEUM
A small collection at Headcorn airfield, the scene
of much historic aviation activity. It contains a
wide range of items recovered from wrecks, but
the piloted V1 – the Reichenberg – is the highlight.
A new museum building opens on March 3 this
year.

RAF MANSTON HISTORY MUSEUM
A collection of aircraft and displays remembering
the RFC, RAF and USAF at of one of Kent’s most
famous and historic airfields – which sadly closed
to flying in 2014.

ROMNEY MARSH WARTIME
COLLECTION
Brenzett was home during World War Two to an
RAF Advanced Landing Ground, and the local
aviation museum – previously the Brenzett
Aeronautical Museum – recalls this period
amongst other things. The Prentice is a new
addition.
