roadholding. The original suspension has been
lowered by 10cm and the seat upholstery
in the cab is mostly original, other than the
driver’s seat squab, which has been recovered.
During the summer months I use the truck as
my daily driver. I keep it garaged at all time
and don’t need to polish the paintwork, it’s all
beautifully original and nicely patinated. One
aspect of the truck that isn’t original, is the
Safari window at the rear of the cab, which
I’ve fitted. With the side windows pushed back
and the rear Safari window open in summer,
who needs air-con?” Tino’s truck is all about
preservation and not restoration. Completely
original Type 2 Pick-Up trucks are becoming
harder and harder to find and Tino’s represents
a real gem!
