brewed and bottled by hand.
As it was such a glorious day, we
settled down in their beer garden
for a large glass of Fallersleber
Schlossbräu and a giant pretzel to
soak it up. On such a high from all of
the days adventures, George, Nadine,
Gareth, Jim and myself started
throwing ideas around for what to
do on our final day before beginning
the trip over to Chimay. More local
sightseeing was an option; a trip to
Hamburg was another but the overall
winner was to jump on a train and
head to the incredible city of Berlin.
I had been there before, but none of
the others had and I was 100% up for
another trip there as it’s superb.
Train times sorted and sensible
footwear donned, we walked the
10 minutes or so to Wolfsburg
Hauptbahnhof (main station) ready
to alight our carriage to Berlin. We
were about to buy our tickets when

we noticed the price was
over triple what we had
previously thought the day
before, stuff this we thought,
let’s drive to Hamburg
instead! Upon returning to
the campsite, it was decided
that we would take the factor
stock 1963 Kombi Gareth had
borrowed off our friend Rob, as with
five of us on board, a slammed Bus
wouldn’t get us far, little did we
know at this point but this Bus
wouldn’t either...
