SOCIETY PIES

Stephanie Cunnyngham cooked up a storm, but with
fabric and thread, not pastry and fi lling. And the end
result is yummy. Takes you right back to warm and

FOR SUCCESSFUL BAKING/MAKING
My grandmother was a wonderful pie baker. She always
made a pie for me when I visited her. Fast forward
several years to the day my husband and I met. I was
volunteering at a historical society, and our fundraiser
was to make and sell 800 pies. I made a cherry pie, and
this young man bought it. The rest is history. So pies,
as you would understand, are very special to me. They
remind me of my grandma and her kitchen and how
they brought me and my husband together.
