Australian Homespun - June 2018

(nextflipdebug5) #1

Tracey Millward, from Rothwell, Qld: “I was thrilled to learn that I was to
become a grandmother for the first time, so when the February 2017 issue
of Homespun arrived soon after with the block of the month, Going to the Zoo,
Zoo, Zoo, by Claire Turpin and Jemima Flendt, I knew I had to make it. What fun
I had each month as I eagerly anticipated the new block. Thank you to the team
at Homespun for all the inspiring ideas and patterns you keep delivering.”

Dianne McDermott, from Ardlethan, NSW: “I’ve just finished the 2017 Block
of the Month, and I enjoyed making it. I’d like to thank Jemima Flendt and
Claire Turpin for designing it for us to enjoy. As you can see, my grandson,
Linkon, approves. The timing was perfect, as he was born that February.”

Stephie Bridger, from Heathmont, Vic: “I’m submitting my mum’s
handiwork, making one of your quilts for my niece and her grand-
daughter, Camille, who lives in London. Camille gets up every morning
to go and play with this quilt and just adores it, especially the
penguins. My mum has made an amazing quilt that is dearly loved.”

Mary Brearley, from Walcha, NSW: “This is my version of Claire
Turpin and Jemima Flendt’s BOM, Going to the Zoo, Zoo, Zoo. It
was made from some of my stash plus a bit for my grandson’s first
birthday. Hopefully, he will have many years of happy play on it.”

We’ve received lots of letters from
readers who have completed our
fabulous 2017 BOM, Going to the Zoo,
Zoo, Zoo. These four will each receive
a book as a thankyou for sharing.

Have you made aHomespunproject? We’d love to see it and share it with our readers.
