W PLANET WARS
Niall MacNeill
Looking every bit like the Death
Star, Ganymede poked its head
out from behind Jupiter on March
29 as Niall was imaging from near
Bathurst in NSW. He used a ZWO
ASI 174MM camera with RGB ilter
set and 2.5× Tele Vue Powermate
to capture 1.4 million (!) frames,
600,000 of which he stacked
and processed to produce this
startling image.
S HELLO MARS
Ben Curcio
The Red Planet snuck between the
Triid and Lagoon nebulae on March
- Ben used a Canon EOS 40D
camera for the 40× 60-second image.
