DO YOU BELIEVE IN WORK/LIFE BALANCE?
WHAT IS YOUR TAKE ON THIS?
I do believe it’s important for people to
have work/life balance but as any business
owner would agree, the lines between work
and home are pretty blurred. My husband
and I are lucky enough to truly love what
we do so we don’t feel we need to have
strict boundaries between work and home.
I don’t work crazy hours anymore and
I know my team is always on call if
we need each other. The ideas never
stop, we often text each other after
hours when inspiration strikes!
I do try to switch off from technology on
weekends and spend time in the garden,
with my husband and cook for friends.

WHAT PIECE OF ADVICE DO YOU WISH
SOMEONE HAD TOLD YOU WHEN YOU
WERE YOUNGER?
To do what you want to do, if you are
passionate and work hard enough you
will get there – no matter how long it
takes and whatever it may be.
Actually I’m pretty sure my mother
and grandmother always told me this
but as usual I wasn’t listening!

WHAT IS THE ONE LIFE SKILL YOU WOULD
HOPE TO PASS ON?
Passion. Love what you do and who you
do it with.

WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS FOR THE FUTURE?
At the moment we spend weekdays in
Melbourne and weekends at our small farm
near Kyneton. We have just started plans
for an architect-designed extension to the
farm which is very exciting. Last weekend
my husband, my parents and I dug a
200m^2 vegetable and flower garden.
Our plan is to plant out the new garden
and live quite sustainably in the future.
We eventually plan to spilt our time
evenly between Melbourne and Kyneton.
The renovation has a great office space
for me and my team!
