Satisfy your style and conscience with this ethical
update of brands we love. By Damien Woolnough

MAGGIE MARILYN
At just 24, New Zealand designer
Maggie Hewitt has found
international fame. Her label, Maggie
Marilyn, was picked up by Net-a-
Porter.com in its first year before
buyers from Neiman Marcus, Moda
Operandi and Selfridges elbowed
their way into follow-up collections.
Models Kendall Jenner and Karlie
Kloss delight in Hewitt’s feminine
rules, sporty stripes and soft silks,
but with an increasing stockist
demand, keeping growth green is a
priority. “Every season we are striving
to be better, to do more, from finding
biodegradable packaging to using
recycled polyester,” Hewitt says.
“Being a sustainable and ethically
conscious brand is one of my biggest
inspirations and motivators, as well as
being at the core of who we are and
what we want to say to the world.”
