ackie Gillies doesn’t like to give psychic

readings over the phone – but during

our 30-minute conversation, she

simply can’t help herself. In between

talking about her Shine It Up

motivational tour and her recent stint on I’m A

Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here, Gillies had 12

visions about me. The highlights: I’m going to

launch my own business, move to New York,

write a book and marry my boyfriend in three

years’ time. Basically I’m going to magically

morph into Carrie Bradshaw. “The little

goosebumps you just got down your arm were

your angels hugging you,” she told me when I

audibly shivered with excitement.

Now 37, Gillies has been giving

goosebumps along with her mystical

predictions for 14 years. She says she had her

first vision when she was 17 and struggling

through a toxic relationship. “When I tell

people that I saw an angel who told me I have

a higher purpose, they don’t believe me. But I

don’t care if they believe me, because I know it

to be true,” explains Gillies, who claims to see

the future and connect people with their

departed loved ones and spirit guides.

Her Shine It Up tour is about bringing her

gift to the masses, should they wish to accept it.

“It’s all about self-empowerment, motivation

and inspiration. I want to bring people together

and help them find their inner purpose and

clarity,” she says. Who couldn’t do with a little

of those? And an engagement ring in the next

three years (no pressure, boyfriend)?
