Sunday April 15 – Saturday April 21
Uprooting your family and leaving dreary
old England to chase the summer sun in
America is bound to create a comedy of
errors. For the Pembertons (all pictured
below), there’s no shortage of mishaps
and hilarious issues as husband Mal
(Philip Glenister) and his enduring wife
Jen (Lesley Sharp) embark on moving
their entire brood from Yorkshire to run
a caravan park in Florida. You can easily
imagine how breaking the news to their
surly teenagers – Tina (Rosie Day) and
Freddie (Brenock O’Connor) – goes
down... like a lead balloon!
As they get over the many hurdles of
moving halfway around the globe to their
strange new home, each Pemberton has
to learn to navigate this diferent world
they’ve been thrown into. From trouble
at the local high school to Jen not quite
fitting in with the often overwhelming
‘desperate housewives’ scene, it’s
quickly apparent that they aren’t really
‘living the dream’ at all!

Unexpected Living the Dream
Becoming a parent for the first time is no
doubt daunting for everyone, but imagine
you are 15 and still in school! This series
follows three adolescent couples and their
families as they prepare for the arrival of
their unexpected miracles while coping
with the harsh realities of life.
Young women Lilly (pictured), Lexus and
McKayla clash with their own mums (who
were also teen parents) when discussing
responsibilities, where the infant will live
and how they’ll continue their education.
When learning of Lilly’s pregnancy, her
mother admits, “It’s not what a mum wants
for her daughter – nobody wants this. It’s
pretty much a worst nightmare.”
Each couple is unprepared for the baby’s
arrival and their relationships are tested as
the strain of parenting builds.
See the incredible journeys that unfold,
from baby showers to proms – and maybe
even wedding bells?
Mondays from April 16 at 7.30pm on TLC [130]
He’s Colombia’s most infamous drug lord
and one of the world’s most notorious names.
Pablo Escobar ran a multi-billion-dollar
industry throughout the 1980s and ’90s,
producing and dealing such immense
amounts of cocaine it’s estimated that he
earned a personal income of US$22 billion
(AU$27.9 billion) per year.
With all that abundance, the drug lord
(pictured inset) was known to live large. But
legend has it he also stashed huge quantities
of cash all over Colombia.
Upon his death in 1993,
a number of depositories were
found, though speculation is rife
many more remain undiscovered.
In an Australian premiere, this
documentary takes viewers on
the treasure hunt of a lifetime.
