sat down with Sunday Night with Matty Johns
host Johns and new panellist Emma Freedman
to find out what series they’re currently
binge-watching between NRL games.
DIVORCE (s1-2)
Matty Johns: “I love Divorce. How good is
Thomas Haden Church (as Robert)?! I know
he always plays the same role, the same
voice, everything, but I love it. I’m not a huge
Sarah Jessica Parker fan, but I think she’s
really good in this series (as Frances). I think
it’s a rare show.”
Emma Freedman: “Matty loves Divorce,
it’s his favourite show, so I should probably
get into that.”
BETTER THINGS (s1)
Johns: “Better Things is unbelievable.
Pamela Adlon’s character, Sam Fox, is earthy,
she’s funny and I just think all the periphery
characters – like her mum (Phyllis, played
by Celia Imrie) – are hilarious!”
Freedman: “I’ve heard that Better Things
is really good. I need to become better at
