BIG LITTLE LIES (s1)
Freedman: “I thought Big Little Lies was
absolutely brilliant and they’re coming back
for a second season, which is really exciting.
I just love the strong female characters.
I also love the Australian feature, with
Nicole Kidman (as Celeste) and the writer
of the original novel (Liane Moriarty) being
Australian as well. Reese Witherspoon (as
Madeline) is magnificent, too – I feel like
I connect with her on a really weird, distant
level: we’re both small and blonde!”
THE REAL HOUSEWIVES
OF MELBOURNE (s1-4)
Johns: “Myself and (wife) Trish are Newcastle
people and we get on well with Jackie Gillies
and support her. Her poor old husband Ben!
I go, ‘Ben, you’re a rock star, don’t cop that of
’em, mate!’ They’re really good people.”
