GET YOUR ROCK ON
Easter egg-stravaganza Hop delivers plenty
of fun fare as the Easter Bunny’s (voiced
by Hugh Laurie) teen son EB (Russell Brand)
shirks the family business in order to follow
his longheld dream of becoming a drummer
in a rock‘n’roll band in Hollywood! Worlds
collide as the animated bunny befriends
slacker human Fred O’Hare (James Marsden),
who helps him on his path to superstardom.
BEST MUSICAL MOMENT
EB’s audition for David Hasselhof’s show
Ho Knows Talent – a drum solo to the
Taio Cruz song Dynamite – hits all the right
notes. “I didn’t like it... I loved it!” Hof declares.
SCENE STEALER
Hasselhof, while not the star of the film by
any means, is a stand-out in his cameo role
as himself. When EB questions why the actor
isn’t surprised to see a talking bunny, the
former Knight Rider star references his hit
’80s TV show as he explains that his “best
friend is a talking car”.
