Already a major hit in the UK,
Clubbercise is set to sweep
Australia this year. A fusion of
dance, toning and combat moves,
the class is taught with nightclub-
style lighting and LED glow sticks.
And while it looks fun, don’t be
deceived – this is a serious
workout that can burn up to
600 calories per session!

SUMAC
This spice can be used on everything from stews
to eggs. ‘[It’s] one of the most antioxidant-rich
ingredients on the planet,’ physician Dr Rupy
Aujla reveals in his book The Doctor’s Kitchen

.

GARLIC^
Here’s a handy excuse not to pass on that garlic
bread. Research suggests garlic is good for your
gut, has antibacterial and antiviral properties, and
may be beneficial in lowering your risk of cancer.

CUMIN^
Packed with antioxidants, this traditional Indian
staple is also believed to have properties that
help reduce inflammation and fight cancer. Try
adding some to your roast dinner or omelette.

CINNAMON^
Dr Aujla says this ‘aromatic, antioxidant-packed
flavour bomb’ has anti-inflammatory effects and
may improve metabolic health. Use it for sweet
treats, or add to savoury recipes for an extra kick.
GINGER^
Useful in drinks, sauces and stir

-fries, ginger’s been

studied for its effects on everything from cancer
prevention to fighting nausea. ‘Boil some up with
honey to treat a sore throat,’ Dr Aujla recommends.
