welcome back to the
Liberty Stadium. Hopefully,
we will give you, our loyal
supporters, a strong performance
today at the very least.
We wanted to put in a good
performance in our last home game
against Bournemouth because we
have struggled here and lacked a bit
of creativity.
We knew a point was not enough,
but we took a lot of positives from
that game.
After that, we went to Chelsea with
a lot of optimism. We lost 1-0 but
we showed great fighting spirit.
We limited them in terms of
chances and were in the game right
up to the end, so it was a shame
but, again, we took positives from
that.
The turning point came from a set-
piece, where we are normally very
strong. But we know that if we can
fix those small details, we have a
chance to win some games.
We started well against Stoke and
scored early on. Goals are
something we have been lacking in
recent games, so we did the most
difficult thing.
I was delighted to see Wilfried Bony
score, he is here to do that and has
been working hard since he has
come back.
But, after their equaliser, we lostcontrol of the game a little bit and
their second goal killed us in the
end.
When you look back at the three
games, other than creativity, we
have also been lacking consistency
and that is something we need to
improve.
We have good spells throughout
games, but we need to do that over
the entire 90 minutes.
You are never going to be in control
for the whole of a match but, when
we are, we need to hurt other teams
and be solid and compact as a
team.It is important that we step up and
work harder on the pitch. It is
nothing to do with training, it is the
mentality of the players at the
moment.
Today is a must-win game against
West Brom. We have already lost so
many games and we must start
picking up points at the Liberty.
It is difficult at the moment but we
need to forget what has happened
and focus on improving our
performance levels in order to turn
things around. It is time for us to
