4 This is an interesting
subject – and rarely
discussed. Several of my
friends have separated
from their husbands after
many years of marriage,
much to my surprise. Although
not ideal relationships, the women
were not interested in anyone else
and, after years of neglect from
their partner, simply left to enjoy
another chapter in their lives.
I was married for 36 years and
found myself alone in middle age.
My ex-husband did a lot of work
on himself and has become
a much nicer person and father.
I learned a lot about life and myself.
Unfortunately, men and women
often don’t learn about themselves
until they have to, when married
for many years. Women get sick of
caring for another adult, and men
at the end of a career just want
an easy life, aka doing only what
they want and don’t consider their
wives! Please note: I’m being
general and not all men are
like this. My partner’s
wonderful and agrees
with this view.
