The writer was on invitation from the Mercure and Accor
group of hotels.

is known as the play place of Lord Krishna, the
Nageshwar Mahadev temple, the Gopi Talav and
the Sudama Setu which is a suspended bridge. And
fi nally I visited the temple of Goddess Rukmani,
the wife of Lord Krishna, who according to Indian
mythology was cursed to have her temple isolated
for eternity.
ADIEU!
My visit to Dwarka was short but enriching. And
though it was soon time to head back to Mumbai,
I left feeling renewed and elated. Looking for a
quick getaway to put your mind at ease and bask
in tranquility? Dwarka should be at the top of
your list.

visited the beautiful Dwarkadish temple. I was told
that its dome was recreated after a fl ood drowned
the original city many centuries ago.
