arlier this month Micromine
announced it was opening an oice
in Toronto, Ontario to try and
capitaliseongrowthintheregion.
hat was followed by Maptek, which
announced the opening of oices in
Vancouver and Montreal.
Both companies had previously had
presences in the Canadian market, however,
theycontractedawayfromitwhenthe
mining market there contracted.
he Canadian mining market is making a
comeback and that has reignited interest in
the region.

MACHINERY auction expert Richie Bros is
introducing its online-only brand IronPlanet
to Australia.
If the IronPlanet brand seems familiar,
that is because it has been around for a long
time, just not in Australia. It launched in
North America 18 years ago and Ritchie
Bros bought it earlier this year and took the
decision to expand the brand to Australia.

Buyers will be able to virtually
inspect items online and review detailed
inspection reports completed by qualii ed
