MAKING AND ATTACHING

THE MOUSE’S ARMS

35 Roll out two balls of modelling

paste into two equal sized sausages,

and flatten off one end of each of

them using your fingers.

36 Using the knife in a rocking

motion, add in the finger details.

37 Bend both arms to add

movement.

38 Attach to the mouse using

edible glue.

ATTACHING THE

HEADBOARD

39 Using royal icing or edible glue,

attach headboard to head end of

the cake. Hold in position for thirty

seconds or until adhered to cake and

the cake board.

MAKING AND ATTACHING

THE BEDSPREAD

40 Roll out 20g of white sugarpaste

and cut into a rectangle thin enough

to sit over the bottom quarter

of the bed. Using your stitching

tool add detail to the outside of

the bedspread. Then using the

snowflake cutter emboss

the bedspread.

41 Airbrush using red airbrush

paint and very carefully attach it to

the cake.

MAKING THE FLUFFY

SLIPPERS

42 Roll out two 6g balls of red

modelling paste, shape into a large

Tic-Tac shape and using the Dresden

tool, mark in the foot holes.

43 Roll out a 1g piece of white

modelling paste into a thin sausage

and attach to slippers with edible

glue. Using the point of the nail

scissors, make tiny cuts to create

the illusion of a fluffy trim.

Roll thinner sausages of white

modelling paste and cut into two

2.5cm long pieces. Fold in ends

to the middle to create bows and

attach to slippers.

44 Attach the slippers to the cake

board using edible glue.

MAKING THE HAIR BOW

45 Roll a thin strip of red modelling

paste and cut out 3.8cm rectangle.

Fold ends inwards towards middle and

add another piece across the middle

of the bow. Attach to mouse with

edible glue.

MAKING THE STOCKING

46 Roll remaining red paste until 3mm

in depth. Using a craft knife,

cut out stocking. Using a Dresden

tool, push into top of stocking to

create an opening. Add stitching

detail to sides. Roll a thin piece of

white paste to make the fur the same

way as the fluffy slippers and attach.

47 Attach to headboard post on a

slight angle and add a thin strip of

red paste to give the illusion that the

stocking is hanging up.

ADDING THE BANNER

48 Roll out a thin strip of flower paste

and cut into a ribbon shape, cutting in

a v shape at each end. Using an edible

marker, write on your wording.
